Chikara refers to: 力, the Japanese word meaning power, capability, or influence. The Chikara symbol made its first appearance on the KISS, Hotter Than Hell album cover art. It soon became a reference used throughout the bands history. Eric Carr also used the symbol on his drum kit through the KISS Crazy Nights Tour between 1988-89. This design created by artist and Klick Tee Shop owner, Ed Spangenberg is a salute to the early origins of the hottest band in the world.
